World Longest Sari Guinness World Record

On 6th of March 2017, the city of Bharuch attempted a Guinness world record of dipping 3,055 metre long saree in Narmada River, a day prior to the inauguration of India's Longest Cable Bridge in Bharuch by our esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The ceremony was marked by a pooja at the Gayatri Mandir before the auspicious dip. It was then cut and distributed to destitute women.
